Either Squadron or Falcon do a Vac form canopy set for the Halifax.

I don't have the Airfix Halifax, but I do have the 1/72 Matchbox one, and the kit is strictly a "parts" bin to me now.

You would be welcome to the parts you requested. I have no idea how interchangable the parts might be, but they would be close, one would think.

Lemme know.

They're not swappable. And I wouldn't bother with the replacement bits from Airfix, given the age of the tooling.

Alistair's right.  But get the Falcon bombers set.  It'll be pricier than the Squadron one but works out cheaper overall when you break the set down.  Falcon's sets are first rate clear mouldings and are superb value for money - anyone who says otherwise is a miserly arse.

The economic case, comparing prices with stock at Hannants

Falcon Bombers set:

And the Squadron one:

As you can see, nigh on six notes for one set of canopies as opposed to £14 for five sets (making it less than £3 per set) makes the Falcon set the one of choice.

One final thing - the Squadron canopies ARE the Falcon ones! The cheeky profiteering buggers have just bought up a load of Falcon sets, cut them up and rebadged them with a higher pricetag.

I'm afraid that's not so Lee, Falcon have had a long standing agreement to produce Squadron's canopies,

Agreement or not, Squadron are charging twice the price.
