Million to one chance?

Wouldn't like to calculate it, but what do you think the chances were of getting this picture, then?  :blink:



That's a JDAM (GPS-guided bomb) about 0.1 seconds before it hit in Tripoli.

I hope he either had a long lens or could run very fast!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Think he may be out of the blast zone on that.

As for the pic, depends on what type of camera.  Mine will take 15 quick pics or even video.  A still from a video would just be neat but even catching a bomb at 15 pics would be pretty lucky (unless you happen to know what may be targeted and you see planes overhead).

I suspect what happened is that he was photographing the smoke cloud from bomb A when bomb B fell through the frame.

He would still have to be using a heck of a fast shutter speed to capture it in that clarity.

I saw a couple of different photos in news stories about Libya similar to this one.  In one, the photographer captured a rocket leaving the tube from a launcher mounted on the back of a truck.  In the second, he captured a rebel firing an RPG, and he caught the rocket just out of the launcher.
