Here is the model before it turns actually crazy (extra parts will become rotor and half-circular spoilers... ):

The underside is painted. Completion scheduled next week. (Very imperfect but finished... I remember in the 1990s, I finished zero model because that was never perfect enough)

As the canopies will be painted black, there were no seats to use, and I used the 3 of them as wing support (here the 2 for the starboard wing)

Well, the Bv-338E model is already finished (the propeller blades are still wet).

But then it will become Bv-338F VSTOD (Very Short Take-Off & Ditching)

The Bv-338F model is completed.
It is intended for Very Short Take Off and Ditching on a tiny lake: the little rotor speeds up taking off, and the half-circular spoiler acts as air-brake.

Of course, the third engine is in the hull, to drive the rotor. Crazy? I'd say "what-if?" (before rejection by officials or before: by design bureau leader...)
