Flight Sim Repaint WHIFs found on the web (FS2004, FSX and so forth)

Since I do my own WHIF repaints, I thought there should be a topic where ones found elsewhere on the Web (i.e. not by any members here) could be posted. I begin with Hartwig Ullrich's gorgeous F-18E Superbug in retro-1970s 892NAS colours:



This is for the magnificent Vertical Reality Simulations F-18E in FS2004 (if you have FS2004 or FSX you seriously owe it to yourself to get this. It's unbelievable). EDSG over White was always a fave colour scheme, and it suits the Superbug well.

The same artist has also done F-18Es in just about every 1970s USN VF squadron's gull-grey-over-white full-colour scheme. I have a few, and I'll post them as I get decent screenshots.

Nice find, Jeremy!!!!  Looks similar to my insane build from a few years ago for a Colonial Navy FGR.4 version of the F/A-18D.  I did a retro RCN F/A-18E a few years back, but not in the proper colors of the one you found.

Not specifically repaints but Daniel Grimes has produced a lot of real world, drawing board whifs for x-plane

That Super Hornet looks great.

How I wish I could be in charge of RAF/FAA aircraft procurement. I’d bring back all the classics schemes. When we get them our F-35Cs would be wearing that 70s scheme (and I’d get some F-18E and EA-18Gs to complement them). The RAF transports would be wearing the classic transport command scheme, Tonkas would be in various forms of camo (some with duck egg blue undersides) while dedicated air defence aircraft would be in all over high speed silver – all with high-vis roundels/markings.   

They'd look the business.

nice, i do have a couple of home made flightsim whiffs i made myself (back on my old PC, now everything is done on my laptop as my new PC with windows 7 doesnt support the repaint software).
