Hey Guys, Just had an Idea that was Inspired by the Front Page A-37! What If  the A-37 were used as the Basis for 'GA type' World Air Force Attack Aircraft? i know the A-37 is the Attack Version of the T-37, that was part of the reason i asked. Think it would work? Thanks for looking.Dan

I think he means "General Aviation", i.e. Cessna 172s and such, but I can't see where it is going. He could also mean "Ground Attack", which was what the A-37 was in the first place.

If he means General Aviation, there are a handful of A-37s and T-37s in the civilian warbird community.  I think the Wikipedia article lists six in the US and another four in Australia.  The A-37s were designed from the get-go as attack aircraft, so refitting them for the combat role is not going to be difficult.  If the T-37s are C models, then they can also be fitted with weapons, as they were used as combat trainers.  Other T-37s would be next to useless.

Guys, in this Case, GA stands for 'Gerry Anderson' as in Thunderbirds. that's what i meant.Dan

To be honest, I don't think it's particularly suitable for Gerry Anderson. The latter's shows were all about extreme technology that pushed the edge of the envelope with loads of "gee whizz" factor. The A-37, or any trainer/COIN type for that matter, is too restrained, too logical, and frankly, too cheap. COIN types are also the product of messy, dirty real-life wars rather than the high-tech duels which Gerry Anderson stuff seems to be aimed at.

Now General Aviation is another matter: I've alway though the A-37 looked like a flying sports car: maybe paint it in a sports car colour scheme to match the owner's car!
