In the early of Second American civil war, northern air force was less than confederate's. Before the incoming of soviet's help, USSA needed fast interceptors to avoid the risk of confederate bombers. As an emergency solution the Gee Bee racer plane was redesigned and armed. With a more powerful engine, and an automatic 20mm gun, this small plane became a very dangerous opponent.
Hard to manage, was lethal in the hand of a skill pilot.

The kit is the very old Testors (an ex Hawk) 1:48, with a lot of scratchbuild.
Built it for my personal ucronia about a second american civil war in 1930-1941, between a new fascist south confederation and a communist north union.
