Hey all,

If anyone someone has a spare windshield from an ESCI/AMT/AMTech/Italeri KC-135, please let me know.  I got a kit that's missing the windshield.

Thanks,

I don't know if this helps Tom, but I've read that the Airfix/Heller AWACS come from the AMT kit.  Just recently I was looking at the windshield of the Airfix E-3D I have because I was going to use it for my Atlantic but decided to write to Airfix spare department instead to see if I can get one through them.  I've just had a look at the AMT KC-135A I have and noticed that the cutout in the fuselage for the windshield looks to be the same size, the only difference between the two kits as far as I can see is the AMT kit's clear windshield part has the moulded in roof instrument panel and a separate fuselage bit that glues on top of it, whereas the Airfix one is just one clear moulding which you paint around the windows.

You could at a pinch write to Airfix and see if you can get one of their windshields.

the Heller/Airfix offerings Pre date the AMT kits by quite a few years.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Size (of the stash) matters.

OGL's right.  The Airfix/Heller offerings are a different kit from the AMT/Amtech/Italeri offering.

Heller actually issued the AMT/Italeri KC135A & KC135FR so possible to get from Heller spare parts service

Ah OK, I'll try them.  Does anyone have a kit and part number for the windscreen?
