Hi,
I live in Kensal Rise London NW10, the  home owners of the victorian terranced houses in my street have a habit of leaving unwanted items in boxes or on their walls for passersby to rumage through and take what they need free of charge. This evening on my way to work I found a battered 1982 Matchbox 1/75 Carmichael Commando with the ladder still attatched, although the paintwork in most areas is down to the metalwork. I think a paint job and some decals will restore this model to its former glory.
I have a 1/24 rally-version Range Rover two door in my stash, so a six wheeler conversion is on the cards. They were mostly used for fire emergency trucks at airports and I drove one whilst I was based at RAF Northolt. Carmichael also offered a luxury version and a 4x4 four door the same length as the 6x4 vehicle. A higher roof was added along with side pipes this was known as the Highlander.
I'll add this to my to-do list.
