Inspired by tales in Malta of Aircrew keeping Gladiators in the air using Swordfish parts and other aircraft parts  I rewinged a Gladiator with Swordfish wings and gave it a boost with a Beaufighter engine.

The scheme It´s a great idea. I remenber a Panter V with a similar scheme. congratulations!  Are you going to put decals?

Nice camouflage scheme  kinda reminds me of dried and cracked earth.
Have you thought up any markings for it yet?

The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

Well it's a very Malta scheme and it looks as though its got some Italian in its bloodline somewhere
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I haven't decided yet I'll probably try and go for something Maltese to continue the theme.

It does look very Italian despite not having a single italian model in it. I wonder how it would handle with a doubling of the power and the huge wings.

Because it`s inspired by the story you mentioned, I`d like to see it in RAF markings so it all fits in.

Tiger, Tiger!

Looks great! It could probably take off from someone's front lawn with all that power and wing area.
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

I'm leaning towards RAF especially as the camo is a very particular one to the British forces on Malta.
