Hello everyone. Thought I'd give you a brief update on status if 2011 releases and production. I'm pleased to say the SR.53 is going well, I expect sample casts this week (they are in customs now!), It not finished yet, the cockpit is currently almost non-existant and the undercarriage needs tweaking (thats why Anigrand have sent pre-production ones for comment/amendment), but I'm confident the finished kit will be released at SMW for sure. I will assemble one of the samples and display it at Farnborough, Sutton Coldfield and Brampton show coming up later this month.

The Supermarine 327 sadly is not so lucky, it has not really progressed since the beginning of the year, and may never see the light of day, but we will see. In its place Paul Lucas is working on several conversion projects for SMW, most of them are prototype or what-if related, but I won't way what they are as I don't like to announce things that don't happen (like the P.1081 I announced about 3 years ago, never know it might still arrive!!)

The P.1154 and EAP remain out of production, but I hope to have both available by the end of the year, and I'm very keen to re-vamp the SR.177 at some point to (although I have half a dozen of these in stock still). There are no firm plans to continue with further TSR2 sets (like the recce version), the ones so far have sold quite well, especially the fighter and fuel tank set, but not as well as one might of hoped. All other whif sets are still available and will be for the foreseeable future.

I'll post up my pics of the SR.53 as soon as I can, and once Paul has firm progress I'll give you an idea of whats coming at SMW by beginning of October hopefully. I also have some very exciting projects going into 2012, despite the desperate state of the global economy!

If you had guaranteed buyers (eg via pre-order and deposits etc) for the 327, would it happen? I'm sure plenty of people would be willing to front up the cash to see it happen...

Firm commitments would be enough, I would not need money up front, but I'd need to sell at least fifty to possibly break even, retailing the kit for around £30. That is quite achieveable, but I've had to instead go for subjects like the SR.53 which as it actually flew is far more likely to sell to a wider market. In the end I need to pay the bills, that said the SR177 sold over well over two hundred kits so far, but over serveral years.

Shame, I was looking forward to that.  Ah well, best save my pennies for the SR53!

Fair enough. You can put me down for one definitely. I suspect the likes of the Wooksta would buy them by the truckload!
