We have a local delicacy here called patties, they are mice and tatties deep fried in batter and taste very nice.....

Mice???

interesting............how many mice go into each patty?  ;D ;D ;D

Beat me to it. Mind you a couple of Chinese take aways I knew in the dark old days were known to serve up the odd deep fried mouse or two
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

We have a local delicacy here called patties, they are mice and tatties deep fried in batter and taste very nice but they do vary a bit in taste between the different chip shops? One of the chip shops do them with haggis and what we call "clapshot" witch is neeps (swede turnips) and tatties mixed together instead of mince and tatties around Burns night.

Funnily enough, we have the same things here in Hull & Holderness, minus the mi(n)ce!  It's just simply mashed potato & herbs fried in batter.  It's pretty localised, you don't have to go far to struggle to find them.  Adding mice sounds like an interesting alternative.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

raafif

you should've been here to try our local KFC -- Kentucky Fried Cat

Management of the store was taken over by some Vietnamese people.  Some while later people started commenting on the strange smell of that store compared to the others.  They immediately noticed the different taste ... then started noticing the lack of the usual strays in the neighbourhood !!

That store didn't last very long  ;D
you may as well all give up -- the truth is much stranger than fiction.

I'm not sick ... just a little unwell.
