Why, you have to make a trophy.

Ok, had this idea for a while so put it together in time for Nationals.  Entered in the Humor Category where it got skunked but lots of people got a laugh so I was happy.

Little quiz for you.

Can you find this monster's last meals and identify the kits they are from?

Here are some close ups to help.

I will supply the correct answers later.

Here is the display I built up for the show.  Will be taking it to the Ogden show on Oct. 1st where, hopefully, people will be more appreciative of my sense of humor.

The Chi-Ha Pet in front took 3rd in the category.  The bugger.

One was a German night fighter, guessing a He 219 or Ju-88C. There is also a canteen, a nose spike and what looks like a window or porthole cover with a observing slot.

Brilliant stuff Phil!

I guess it just says 'real' judges haven't got much of a sense of humour.

I'm guessing in order:

1. B-24 Waist Window
2. Mk 82 Bomb
3. Really, really old German NF antenna or a bit of sprue!
4. Don't really know about that one.

Being a Brit I have NO idea what a Chi-Ha Pet is, but a Carpet Monster makes LOTS of sense to me. Excellent idea.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Fun, but not as fun as the 1/1 scale turd* I put into the competition at South Shields some years back as the "Captain's Log".  Everyone leaving the competition area was laughing, although strangely not the guy who's USS Enterprise was in the competition next to it....

*A proper log, at least eight inches long, thick glossy brown paint and with a joke fly as a Klingon.

In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

Thanks guys.

Some good guesses so far.  Will give it one more day and post the 5 answers.

Wooksta, love the idea, would have been fun to see.  Doubt I could get away with it at a US show.  Heck, the "Some like it Hoth" almost got tossed from the show (and then it ended up winning, go figure).

Trek is so much fun to do humor with.  Seen a bust of Kirk with an Alien facehugger on it.  Can't remember the title but something about Kirk getting laid by another space babe.

I actually have a Trek idea using the Hawk model of Pedro the Grasshopper.  I will let you guys see if you can figure that one out.

The item in the fourth pic looks like some water canteen (German, WWII ?).

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Nice one Phil.... ;D ;D ;D

My twopenn'th:

1. Havn't a clue
2. Either a propellor blade or a Lepus flare from the old Airfix Harrier
3. German WWII radar aerial
4. 35th scale US canteen

Answers:

1/72 Airfix B-24 waist window
1/35 Tamiya 75mm AT shell
1/72 Frog Me-110G radar aerial
1/35 Tamiya German Canteen
I can't find another one either but you just know there has to be something else there.
