Thanks for all the nice comments, chaps.  Really appreciate it.

Two secrets to tell.

1)-anybody notice that I got the main landing gear struts backwards?   :banghead: Sure, the forward rake is right but in making sure that they stayed that way, I CA-ed the poo out of them, so breaking the joint and swapping them right way 'round wasn't going to happen.

2)-raised panel lines are your friend.  After painting the model and using a curved blade, I scraped the paint off the raised lines to expose the dark green plastic underneath.  VIOLA!  Instant 'weathered' panel lines.

Nothing new under the sun ! Precise scraping is an art unto itself. Have also dry-brushed them and hit them with a sharpie marker just for a change of pace.

I like WW2 Italian aircraft and not usually a fan of Japanese WW2 aircraft but that is a super shinden.

belated congratulations! (I am not a fan of national roundels but a desert-camo Shinden is very wonderful, thanks!)
