I recently found an excellent drawing for the Dragon capsule on Thingiverse. I've adapted this for the Shapeways printing process, and the first example is being printed as we speak.

That means I have all the parts I need. Next up: decals.

I received the capsule and a new engine cluster.

The colors in this picture are odd because I increased the contrast by a huge amount to show off the surface detail:

The new parts look great, but will need cleaning up as they have a rougher surface than my earlier print in this material.

That's amazing stuff - technology goes way beyond me

Interestingly in I this morning they hi-lite the fact that the first "home" 3D printer goes on sale in the UK soon. The Velleman K8200 is going for £699.99. Maplin are taking advance orders.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
