Just thought you might like to know that I've created a calender for 2012 featuring a range of illustrations from the excellent books by Chris Gibson - Secret Projects - Hypersonics, Ramjets & Missiles, VC10 Unbuilt Variants, Vulcans Hammer, and the upcoming Admiralty and AEW. Purely my personal selection, images are as follows:

Blue Envoy missile
VC10 'Nimrod'
HP Victor launching large missile, from VH
Vickers 432 Artemis
P139 - from Naval AEW
2 x P1154
Avro Delta VTOL Landing
Avro 768 AEW Landing  - from Naval AEW
Z59 Missile
HP114 Skybolt
TSR2
Avro 730

It's available through Cafepress, price £15.00 ($20.00) via my site store - http://www.cafepress.co.uk/rocksci

Hope you like it!

Question - have you got permission from the illustrators to use their artwork?

Adrian (aemann) is the llustrator in question. All the illustrations in the calendar are his own work.

Adrian does all the 3D CGI renders for Chris Gibson's Project Tech Profile series. So all he has done is take the illustrations he created for those, Vulcan's Hammer and BSP Hypersonics, and put them into a calendar format.

Right, that's me told. ;D Just wanted to be clear on that. Might well pick one up then!

Mine arrived today and I have to say it's very nice. Even has my old office in it.

I suppose I could always sue myself for breach of copyright! I might even win, or er... lose... no, stop it!  ;D

And of course, I asked Chris if it was OK first, as he commissioned them - all boxes ticked!

Mine arrived yesterday
Rather tasty isn't it, the only downside i can see is that it has American holidays on the Calendar part and it could have done with a crib sheet with more details on each project and possible a list of the books in which they appear for those who want to do further reading (were OK as have the books, but i imagine some will be interested who dont)
