Ok, a little question, I know I miss a lot of the great stuff that goes around on this site, which is rather disappointing, as lots of it won't get a whiffies nomination, and I'll never know about it. I was thinking maybe set up a thread, and you can post your own finished whifs... You get what I'm sayin'?  Knowing you geniuses, you probably already have it all set up and I'm missing something, but I just thought it would be worth a shout out.    Ok, tell me if your interested and I should be able to do something about it...

It took me a long time (mainly due to very slow dial-up) to find the right forums here that interested me most.  Even member's Profile & Gallery pages are so slow to load that (now even with broad-band) I give up.  Lots of the older Group Build threads no longer have pics too as they've been deleted over time.

I think there must be a better way to do things but that will probably involve better software (lots of early stuff was good -- facebook, Flicker etc have very bad software) and much moderators time

Right 2 separate answers to 2 questions/suggestions -

MA101 - I'm not certain what you mean. The Current and Finished Projects section of the site is where we post our finished builds. Now that is so obvious I must be missing your point. If you could explain a little more it might help ?

Raffif - Tom is planing to install new software for the site, see his separate notification. This might answer some of your questions. Once it's up and running we can come back to your query ?

Try using the "Show unread posts since last visit" link at the top of each page, just below the Hello [membername] text.

Voila, one list that makes sure you don't miss anything.

Oh, I mean a thread in the Current & Finished Projects board, where as one finishes a project, they would post their work on that thread (as well as individually), so that no one will miss a lot of the great stuff that slips through sometimes..

Right I get what you mean now 101.

However it does make for a lot of duplication, plus a fair few members would probably forget to post in both places (count me in that lot) and so at best it would only be partial.

MA101, I hope to address that in the site rebuild.  No specifics as yet as I'm still looking at the software and templates, but I can promise you that the new site will have a lot more functionality.

Raafif, that's something to think about.  I'll think it up some.
