French during june 1940 have try to react to Panzer division. They had the powerfull 47mm anti tank gun (able to destroy the Panzer IV), and to follow the very fast movements of germans troops they have fitted this gun to a carrier lorraine (for troops or ammunitions). So the real one is on the right of the picture, it's a 1/72 Al.By resin kit, the second kit is a MPM, that i've fitted with a SHQ white metal gun.. So it could have been a field modification made during the harsh fight in summer 1940 before the BEF fierce counter attack directly from Dunkerque and Calais and cut Germans panzer troops from their support infantry...
Nothing very original, german's commando Becker has adapted on Lorraine carriers  several type of guns ..
i'm going to modify one with french 75mm gun and also one with a A.A 25mm gun..

The Lorraine carrier was an excellent vehicle by all accounts.  Had a tracked trailer as well to increase its load.  The Germans used them for SPGs after the fall of France, armed with various calibre guns.   It could have served very well as a fully tracked APC with its rear fighting compartment.  Nice models.

Thank you Rickshaw!
well here's a link, there's a nice whatif work "france 41" made by JC Carbonel (modelstorie french website) and this man has made (often from scratch) at 1/72 scale a large number of french projects; it's all in french, but if you click on each name you'll have nice pictures of his work:

What brand of kit are those, Marco ?  Going by the barrel-droop they're soft plastic?

I believe the Lorraines were quite good vehicles -- pity the one found in Iraq a few years ago (ex-German) was cut up

Jean-Claude's ideas are great !!  (he did the first egg-plane models for Hasegawa).
you may as well all give up -- the truth is much stranger than fiction.

I'm not sick ... just a little unwell.

Yes, i like also JC's ideas!
so on the right of the picture, Al. BY resin kit (1/72). it is the real Lorraine first SPG. ;)
on the left my conversion (What if) RPM injected plastic + SHG 47mm gun (white metal)+plastic card  :drink:

NARSES2

I like those Marco, be nice to see the ones with other armament
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
