Progress so far

Matching the build to the drawings

Front fuselage uses the adapted cockpit from a Hawk kit due to the narrow fuselage and as the Su-21 tapers in

Intakes from the Tornado lengthenend to mate up with the revised rear fuselage

The internal bracing of the rear fuselage after a strip was removed and the bulking out of the sides so the Tornado flare could be removed. The centerline bracing is to allow a trough to be added to semi recess missiles.
This area will be boxed in once the VG function is sorted out as it will require the wing box to modified to match the different wing configuration

Wings and tail plane matched to the drawings

Fwd fuselage to rear fuselage join so far.

Next up will be the VG wing system so i can work out how it will interact with the existing fuselage components and adjust them where nessessary. Once thats sorted i can then look to scribe in some detail before assembly starts.

Nice to see this in progress Geoff
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Plastic engineering at its best!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Cheers guys

Forgot to add the spine wil be sourced and fitted after i have got the fuselages together as it needs to blend in the cockpit fthe forward fuselage and into the upper deck of the main fuselage. Once the basic structure is completed will still need to souce a suitable undercarriages, doors pylons etc !

Very nice Geoff, I'm looking closely at this as I've got in mind a similiar-ish bird that I might like to have a go at...
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
