That will be nice to see, might inspire me to build onw of the eight in my loft, purchased at trade price as an 'investment' (a trade price which is now higher than you can buy the bloody things on ebay!). Not such a good investment then.....

If it's the preservation place next door to the Midland Air Museum then you'll have to show us next time we meet there. I remember passing a backwards facing steam loco being carried on the back of a low loader on the M6 some years ago.

It is, mine is the first vehicle you pass on your right as you go through the gates. It's in a fetching shade of green primer and rust at the moment, but it's going to look like this eventually :-

Probably not, when I'm dead and gone (long time from now I hope) my children will find them in the loft and say 'not more of Dads unmade models, chuck them in the skip with the rest'

Was watching the Tube series on BBC last week and they showed the new tube trains being delivered behind a diesel loco, all the way from Bombardier Derby!

Couple of weeks ago I saw one of Croydon's new trams on a low loader on it's journey from Harwich to the depot at Theripia Lane. Today saw one out on a test run - quite smart

I wondered why Kemble as well. Didnt the Victor fly into RAF Stafford for the short(ish) road trip over to Cossi?
And the MH-53 in the coldwar hall was brought into Cosford by a C-17...................

it was RAF shawbury that the victor flew into OGL. RAF stafford never has had a runway afaik.
