Well I think my mojo has melted! :-\

I've just gone and sat at my modelling table, picked up a couple of models that are on-going, handled them, looked at them, and then put them back on the shelf 'cos the urge "just ain't there"  :-\

Basically did the same thing. To warm in the model room

;D Yeahhhhhhah! My RAF serial numbers and letter, black letters, numerals and titles have arrived!  ;D

Let the decaling begin!  ;D
Oh to be whiffing again :-(

Knightflyer

Well the decals are done on one of the seven

It would of been more but I've spent an extended weekend helping my son and daughter-in-law move from Debden to Peterborough - I now feel like I know every roadkill animal on the A1(M) personally!  :o

The finished model can be found here http://www.whatifmodellers.com/index.php/topic,45471.msg814485/topicseen.html#msg814485

Oh God.... moving is the worst, or helping to move. What's even more is when you have a person that moves then a year later wants to move again for trivial reasons and of COURSE they are the one that hands down does the least amount of actually physical work. "I don't like the counters, we have to move!!"   YEAH WELL, MOVE IT YOURSELF THEN.   ;D ;D ;D

Hey, at least you did get a little bit done, despite the moving!

Well as I've just finished throwing paint at a model for the evening and don't feel like doing any more at the moment I thought I might as well add a few lines on here

So this is the current state of play as it stands

1) Great Wall 1/144 Avro Vulcan (RW) - started 01/02/18 detail painting and cockpit 'canopy' to add, plus the decals - it was this kit that I've just had the mental block with. So close to finishing, but miles off still  :-\ -well nothing done further here at the moment, I'm 'into the groove' with whatiffing, the real world can wait

2) Airfix Beagle Basset (RW) started 10/02/18 another one that I should be able to just pick up and finish, but it just isn't floating my boat! :-\ -as above the real world can wait for the moment

3) Hasagawa Grumman Wildcat  (RW) - started 28/04/18 I started this one as a 'quick fix' get me started on modelling again - not to self, any aircraft with invasion stripes IS NOT a quick fix! -ditto as above

4) Revell 1/450 Boeing 747-200 (WI) started 22/07/18 Well the second kit started for the GB, and it's all DIZZY's fault!  ;D not moving too rapidly with this at present, but I don't think it'll take that much doing, so no concerns as such. It of course follows on from the 1/450 Royal Flight 747-200  ;D

5) Revell MBB/Kawasaki  BK-117 (WI) started 22/07/18 Well the third kit started for the GB, coming along nicely. Not entirely happy with the planned colour scheme, but I think it'll work out okay

So yes, real world kits have stalled, but I have several ideas for the GB at the moment and it's keeping me motivated, so here's to Whiffery!  ;D

As always, please feel free to comment or query  - the stimulation keeps me going!  ;D

Well it appears I've had nothing of import to write for at least 120 days cos I've got the Big Red Box message here!

As it was, my last musings (in here at least) were in July 2018 .....doesn't time fly

So, state of play..... new job, after being unemployed since the end of July this year, starting on the third week (of three) training tomorrow, the good news is that the payslip telling my that I'll be getting paid on the 24th has arrived. <_<

As for modelling, there are eight on the bench (I had a dark wobble mid-October and started five kits!) Only one of which is a Whiff. It'll be the second Supermarine 'Lakker' (link to first below)

This one is in high speed silver, so same back story, but a year or two later in the time-frame. Annoyance is that the yellow 'Parallel stripes' decals I'm using for 'Squadron Bars' are too pale, so I might need to over-paint or something. Still it's ongoing when I have the time

As always, please feel free to comment or query   ;D

Delighted to hear you are employed once more.  Don't worry about the time lapse between postings, we are pleased to hear from you whenever you feel like making a comment.  Your model start dates are as nothing compared to mine.........I've had a sort of navalised Strikemaster (the BAe Tern) on the go for about  six years!!

Are losing theirs and blaming it on you....."
It  means that you read  the instruction sheet

Good to hear you're gainfully employed again, or at least in training
