I've met a couple WWII pilots, one even who was in the Battle of Britain, and they were all fascinating people to talk to. I'd have liked to have met her, her story is amazing.
I was really torn what figure to use for the pilot. For whatever reason, I wanted the pilot to be female, and was going to use a WWII Russian Army female figure, as she is wearing a skirt, which would have been more authentic for the character to wear, but when I saw the store had the MB figures 1/32 pilot set, I changed my mind and used Lydia Lytvyak. Funny thing, on Hyperscale, a guy correctly informed me that she should be wearing a dress if she's supposed to be representling the Ukraine in an Easter motif. he's right, and I was actually caught out on an accuracy issue on a What-If! :)
