This 1/48 scale model of the Fieseler Fi 103A-1 was built as a side project while working on my Tamiya Irving...I needed something to work on while waiting for the paint to dry and this was the perfect kit to tinker with. ;D

And here is the Zubringerwagen by itself minus the missile, the wooden blocks were painted and weathered to better match some of the photos I have seen of one of these carts.

Wow.  Your quick side project would be my master build!  I've looked through the site at your other work, too, and it's quite professional.  As the man says, "Impressive."
"He got down from his horse, which seemed strange to him as he had always believed that you got down from a duck or a goose."

I know it's in a book I have around here somewhere....

Thanks guys, the comments are appreciated!

The decision has been made...after the Irving is finished my next model will be a 1/32 scale what-if Fw 190D-9 Dora with a radical camouflage scheme and marked in the colors of a fictional unit, something to puzzle some of the JMN types. ;)

Thanks for your comments Dan!

My style of what-ifs are more of the could-have-been variety and I have even had a small amount of success confusing some JMN types before.
My planned Fw 190D-9 what-if will be in KG(j)55 markings...its a unit which was never formed before the end of the war.

Camoflage on that V.1 is superb and the wooden blocks

Have you ever built any WWI stuff Matrixone ? Love to see your take on canvas and wood
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Thanks Dizzyfugu and NARSES2.

I have always liked WWI planes but the thought of doing the rigging is enough to keep me away from them. :o But painting the wooden propellers and the varnished fuselages on the Albatros does seem like it would be fun to do.

You and me both. I keep looking at Wingnut Wings, one day I will succumb, but not to the Fe.2  :banghead:
