Opel "Blitz"/Lufthansa Airliner??

I saw this the other day in "Fine-scale Modeler":



Anyone else see the possibility for a Lufthansa "airliner" using this bus as a fuselage, with added wings, twin-boom engines and tail, looking somewhat like a Fw-189 (if the bus is that small), or a Fairchild C-119 (if the bus is big)??

Sorry, *I* won't be doing it, but *YOU* could!!  

PS--needless to say, the "sunroof" would HAVE to go!

A mate of mine has purchased the kit - it looks quite impressive and well detailed - the background (as i remember) talked about this particular bus being a prototype - hoping to be contracts but it didn't pan out

Why lose the sunroof, sr?

Just glaze it over!

Hell, some old aircraft had slide-open windows, or even push-out types, for the passengers.
The bus kinda fits the era, too. So, why not just add a row of 3 pop-up glass sunroofs.

Good idea, with wings I think it'd look a bit like a big Taylor Aerocar.

I always thought the Dapol Deltic nose grafted on to the body of their railbus would make an interesting aircraft.

You could paint it up in the colours of  one of the rail companies GWR green maybe.

That'd need some cutting and shutting as the Deltic is quite a bit wider than the railbus, but it should look great. There were some railcars in the US that had similar looks, and the Deltic nose was modelled on the GM E series of the time.
