For Batman '66, George Barris customized a Licoln Futura concept car into the Batmobile. The futura was a very futuristic and over the top car to start with, but it just got more so.
Now consider this; Barris used the Futura because it was available. What would thing have been like if a certain General Motors concept from 1958 had been available? One which looks even more bat-like and over the top without any moifications.
I refer of course, to Firebird III.
There are no good kits, bad kits or grail kits, just kitbash fodder.

Paint it black with red pinstripes!  ;D Change the tail fin to a bet wing and you are there.

Got to have the mags with the 'Bat Spinner' center caps.

The  ideal  vehicle  if you have   just had a row  with your car  share partner!   Can they  communicate, other than by making  gestures at each other?

No windscreen wippers, did they use hot air to clean the screen?

I would love to have the bubble top so I can better see the nitwits who always walk out in front of me in the parking lot.

Extend the front chines down to the fin.  Fair in the front wheel arches similar to the rear to give a more rocket like look, it's a prop so doesn't have to steer much.

For a change, how about blue piping instead of red?  The screen Batmobiles have always been back, but the comics have often used blue.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

McColm

I suppose some colours work better on the small screen than others.

Phwor.

Well, with this model Bats and Robin couldn't talk, nor could they carry a passenger between them.

I could also see Gerry Anderson using this in UFO as a flying car.
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

There's a model kit up for grabs on one those auction sites in 1/24 scale.

McColm

or there was a 1/24 Monogram Lincoln Futura on eBay until I bought it. Got an idea for a 'Thunderbird' car FAB3, which I've already mentioned in another topic.
