Hi guys

Just spotted this info on the Traffic England site under their disruptions page at: http://www.trafficengland.com/disruptions.aspx#ds

Roadworks - Bridge Repairs
The M54 westbound will be closed between junctions J2 and J3 due to bridge repairs, from 8 pm on 10 November 2012 to 10 am on 11 November 2012.

There will, obviously, be diversions posted by the Highways Agency but it may delay you if you are driving in on the Sunday - especially those aiming to arrive for the 0800 opening.

ps I have already let Paul Regan and Richard Kent know

for any one coming from the M5 M6   this will hopefully help.
head to Wolverhampton and once you get on the ring road  look for the A41 hollyhead road ( maked M54  and cosford) itll drop you on at J3  the turning for the A41 is by the Banks brewery site.

the things you learn, give your mind the wings to fly, and the chains to hold yourself steady
take off and nuke the site form orbit, nope, time for the real thing, CAM and gridfire, call special circumstances.
wow, its like freefalling into the Geofront

Best option would be to try and get a lift with the FAA Lynx..........  ;D

Steel Pemguin's diversion works pretty well as I've used that NUMEROUS times when the M5-M6 junction is clagged up, which is quite often with the never-ending roadworks they have at the north end of the M5!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Cheers Rad and Martin, this will affect me.

I've just checked the website, the information has been updated:

QuoteThe M54 westbound will be closed between the M6 and junction J1 due to roadworks, between 8 pm and 6 am, from 7 November 2012 to 16 November 2012.

If it's accurate, it hopefully shouldn't affect punters unless you're going really early or leaving really late.  It might impact traders or those setting up.  I'd suggest checking the day before you travel.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
