The hull is nearly finished  pics to follow although I have a confession this is hull no 2 as the first one I tried I tried to work the maximum width to the width of the plastic card and it wasn't wide enough. So I now have a spare hull I don't know what to do with possibly scrap or if I can find the space something else.

HMS Audacious maybe!!!

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Impressively huge.  I bow to your scratch building and improvisational skills, sir.

She metamorphised a cuouple of times from HMS Tiger inspired to Queen Elizabeth class and now she's kind of ended up as pare Renown/ Repulse /Warspite.

I love your recycling! I can see something which resembles a shampoo bottle masquerading as a funnel!

But where do you get all of the boats, cranes, lattice work and smaller calibre guns?

For the main turrets  i used guns from the airfix coastal defence fort with longer barrels they come with these 2 lots of twin AA  which I thinkare vaguely based on the oerlikon twin  so thats a lot of the guns.

I also made up some oerlikons using knightwing crates barrels packing cases set. I used them to build the base and then used some florists wire from Hobbycraft for the barrels. If you need some cheap wire i can reccomend florist wire you get lots of it and it was around £3

The lattice  is from Airfix pontoon bridge kits plus a few bits from a Dapol signal gantry

The Bofors are Zvezda 37mm AA masquerading as 40 mm  Bofors as it was developed from Bofors there is a family resemblance  and they're very reasonably priced

The Boats I bought online form a model boat shop as I've nt worked out how to scratch a lifeboat yet.

She worked out at 485 foot in the end
I don't know whether the hullform makes her a Battlecruiser or a Battleship
It would depend on the speed .
Although given the hull size she probally need tobe  crewed by stick thin dwarves
Given her firepower I think the admiralty would probably have retained her interwar even if she was a bit of a "White Elephant"
I imagine she was being built for some foreign power with limited dock facilities when she was taken over by the RN in WW1

cheers ;D

The Gun tubs are chair leg cups the ones you get to protect the floor . They come in packs of four and slightly different colours and sizes depending where you get them.
