This is a Hawker funded trials aircraft to see if contra-props would increase performance of the Tempest Mk.V. It carries prototype markings. Test results showed only marginal improvements.

This is the Heller kit from an Airfix box built OOB except for the propeller unit which came from a scrapped FROG Shackelton. The paint is Humbrol Metallics Aluminum brush-painted with a coat of Future. The markings came from the spares box.
