As Christmas gift from my wife, we have ordered two copies of Trumpeter Sabre 1/144, so cheap...

As I lack skills to build the not swept wing junction between fuselages, I plan to glue one to each other :

What to do with the remaining wings and tailplanes? Spare-box? No: maybe biplane...

By pure coincidence I was working on just that idea! Not for actual building, but just as a profile.
It's not really done yet, but this is roughly my idea:

The Bussard is fantastic. Would require a lot of work, flattening the fuselage tops, creating the central wings and nacelle...
I wonder if a Vampire centre pod could be used at least for the nacelle rear.
But it's really worth building.
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

The Me-86 is wonderful, and was very possible in outside world  . Thanks.

Ahem, my biplane is simply crazy, for fun, like I did for my biplane Twin-Spitfire (http://www.whatifmodelers.com/index.php/topic,31633.0.html )...
The F-86Z will be asymmetric too: starboard fuselage = jet with nose air intake, port fuselage = rocket with conical nose...

I will be watching this thread closely. Great imagination.
This would fit in with the collection I saw at a model show quite a long time ago. There was a biplane RN Sea Vixen as I recall. The explanation was that the RN was still cautious about the new jet technology.

I think you'll find he's inverted the F-86 fuselages in that profile.

Oops, that escaped me, sorry

The whole project is cancelled, sorry: Trumpeter does not produce anymore the F-86 144th... So I have changed my order to another one (with the approval of my wife, paying the difference).
