....The 'Wings over Wairarapa' show this coming weekend. Going just for the flying-in on Friday, just too much to do on Saturday and Sunday. It's a four-hour drive but that's a bonus as driving here is a pleasure !! (and I get to see a part of the country we've not yet explored).

Certainly not on the scale of Waddington or Duxford, but because I've not seen any of the participating aircraft before, I'm really looking forward to it. I'll post pics here and on my facebook page over the weekend and early next week.

Should be a great show (if the NZ weather cooperates).  One of the best shows I ever attended was Warplanes over Wanaka in 2006.  Any show in NZ gets blessed with locally restored warbirds.  I look forward to seeing the pics.

Link to my Facebook album. This isn't all the photos. I'll post some of my favourites directly here too, later. They all have comments so take your time and enjoy them... a fantastic day-out, well worth the EIGHT HOURS I spent driving there and back !!

the things you learn, give your mind the wings to fly, and the chains to hold yourself steady
take off and nuke the site form orbit, nope, time for the real thing, CAM and gridfire, call special circumstances.

Come on Ian, we're all waiting to see the Mossie AIRBORNE!  ;D

Flying a Vampire off a grass strip sounds like a recipe for a Fire Dept. exercise to me!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
