Dork the kit slayer

Some of you will remember this rather rare and interesting find of a desk top model from the last years of the Roman Empire. Found by myself and my wrinkled old retainer Scrotum, aka The Kiwi Herder(after that rather messy incident with the microsol and the vicars Jack Russel) during our trip to the Bi annual antiques and trash fair that is held in Scunthorpe on Avon every Preston guild.

It has taken awhile to have its providence proven. The British Museum in conjunction with the Salvation Army charity shops, I'm afraid, dragged their heels a bit and it was not until my shrink got involved that the report was published. (Albeit on the back of a fag packet)
It has now come to be believed that it is indeed an original piece. Typical of a manufacturer's pre -production mock ups that were distributed to high officials and decision makers in the Roman Senate and Military.

What makes this model interesting to historians is ,that in the case of the "Emperors Battering Ram" the official title given to this aerial siege engine ( mud mover in today's parlance),is that only six were distributed and then only after the aircrafts debut at the Fields of Mars air tattoo. This could be due to the fact this particular salon was and still is a "lustrum" event.

The markings and various inscriptions were at best confusing with very few of them being from the original timeline as the desk piece or the actual aircrafts service life.

It would appear that the NG (Northern Gaul) and black checker cohort insignia were applied at a much later date, and most definitely in error. The Northern Gaul air cohort being an anti shipping unit, that never flew the type.
Furthermore the "Arabic" numeral red 3 was only applied to airframes many years after the type was retired from service. In fact the change over from Roman numerals is specifically mentioned in the well lauded tome "The Moorish Roman Alliance,( its causes and effects)" by Quintus Pompous Tripehamer.

However continuing  research by the eminent historian and aviatrix Prof. Clarence Lunebucket has brought to light other discrepancies.
The light of truth emblem  which was the official badge of the "Encarta" administration was never used on actual government machinery and has obviously replaced the " the insignia of the consuls power" more usually carried. ( A re writing of history for which the "Encarta" under the leadership of consul Bill Maximus Gateus were infamous for )

The more astute of the Wif readership will also note that the full range of arial projectile available to the military are mounted on the model. This ,is believed to be, yet another later addition as many of the said projectiles we not in concurrent service. The complete truth may never be known ,but that will not stop the publication of my new book "The plagiarism of other peoples Roman articles and the effects upon modern historical assumption in the later 20th century with special regard to high Wiffery " ( rather a snappy title I thought)

Should any of you find this hard to agree with I can assure you it is the truth and can be verified as such with the afore mentioned Kiwi Herder, who still has the parking ticket and was been banned from keeping a unicorn for 6 months.

OK, what's the green and grey camo'd areticle in the background of the last pic then? Looks as if it has some XF-91 Thunderceptor in its genes as it has thicker wingtips than its roots......
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
