Hot off the bench! This is the old mid-1960s Lindberg kit. It is an original issue in algae green plastic with curled-up yellow decals. I hit upon the idea of a Reno Unlimited. There are a few new-build Me.262s now flying with G.E. engines. A bunch of retired and laid-off Boeing(former Mcdonnell-Douglas) engineers and plane builders from St. Louis, Missouri decided to go the new-build 262s one better. With corporate sponsorship from Pennzoil, they proceeded to build a 234, using the plans from the restored 234 in the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum, replacing the Junkers Jumo 004 motors with G.E. units. Here it is.

The kit is OOB with the additions of a bulkhead, floorboard, stick, and instrument panel supplementing the kit seat. The interior is Sky Type "S", with the wheelwells in Testors Silver. The paint is the new Testors square-bottle colors of Brilliant Mandarin Tangerine and Sublime Green, which is brushpainted freehand. The decals came from multiple sources via the scrap-box. Thanks for looking. Adios, Larry.

Yes, peacefully pleasant

Another good whiff!      I like the concept of "civilianisation".  We could do things with the idea of "DEMOBBED WARRIORS"    Lancastrians, Lincolnians, Sea Fury racers, goodness knows how many engine test bed aircraft  and corvettes used as weather ships and even private yachts. I can even offer a 1947 real  world demobbed armoured car used as a tug by a local haulier.
