Army of One

.....of my own 1/72 TSR2's.....I have seen so many what if's of this fine looking a/c.....I would love to do one of my own.....I have obviously seen and been aware of the a/c but never really had it on my list of 'to do' kits....but I would have to say that if one a/c type has grown on me recently it is this one....not sure what I'd do with one though.....re what country or role.....

Who's built a Canadian one yet ? I built a British one, so that's the least you could do !

I did one.  C-FKWT slated it so much I swore then I'd never do another Canadian subject again.  Mind, I've relented since - there's a Canadian Navy Attacker which needs a little work to finish plus various Spitfires are with Canadian squadrons.

I have 2 in the stash and one is going to be a Canadian current service bird, in low-vis and with a modern weapons load out. It will be a break from what I usually build bu I like the TSR2 enough to do something a bit different with it. And sod the JMN's

Just a pity it's such a bitch to build! Did they have to double skin the entire fuselage?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

I've got one and a half. I've used the wing on an F-117.

Poor Ollie...he was just joking ! Besides, his strong french and weak Canadian always made him sound angry.....

Love all the CDN ideas ! Now let's see 'em !

The Airfix kit? It's really not that bad.

Very true, but why double skin it? The only bit that's single skinned is the nose forward of the intakes.

I don't understand what you're referring to, Kit. The kit is quite conventional. There's a bit of slightly tricky construction around the intakes where the fit isn't very good, and getting all the fuselage parts and bomb/gear bay all lined up perfectly is a bit of a pain, but there's no "double-skinning".

you mean thick walled? whats wrong with that? it all fits right (or not bad anyway) the only real awkward bit are the gearbay doors (the front 2 maingear doors should be shut when the gear is down)
