Anyone else popping down to Southern ?

I'm popping along for a couple of hours Saturday morning. Couple of bits I want to pick up.

It doesn't open until 10.00am Hank.

As the Overground is on maintenance duties on that weekend I have to go via either London Bridge or Victoria. Then it's Tube, Greater Anglia and Bus.

Probably aim to be at LB or Vic about 9-30

I will be there with the Soviet Aircraft SIG stand.

It's a good and well organised little show and well worth a morning or afternoon visit (but, as an exhibitor, I wish they would cut it to one day - it doesn't really justify two days and the Sunday always drags).

And it seems that Adrian at Lonewulf is going ahead with his decision not to attend model shows this year (apart from Scale Modelworld) as Lonewulf is not included in the list of traders. A pity, as he always has interesting stuff for sale.

I thought Lonewulf were closing down?

I'm sure I read that somewhere last year, but can't remember where.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I thought Lonewulf were closing down?

As I recall, he originally decided to cut back on trading, deleting a lot of the lines he held and to give up attending model shows.

However, after Scale Modelworld he indicated on the Lonewulf site that he had decided to do next year's Telford as it was an excellent show to release new items.

Then, on 29 December he posted this in the News section of the website:

"The last year was one I did not really enjoy, I lost my interest in the hobby and did not enjoy the trading part as much as I could of. So for 2013 I am going to model for myself and return back to the subjects closest to my heart and where I started the business. This means a lot of ranges will go as I reduce the stock I hold. Also I will only be attending 1 or 2 shows during 2013. Looking forward to regaining the faith in 2013."

Of course, he could have changed his mind again since then - - - -

I hope he keeps going, in whatever form he can live with.

He was definitely 'on our side' and AFAIK was the only distributor in the UK for the wonderfully 'off the wall' Obscureco stuff.

Yes Adrian is one of the hobbies nice guys. Always a pleasure to talk to and when I ordered some resin British WWII 1,000lb bombs he was so disgusted that only one was included in the box for the price that he threw another in at no charge  Think he dropped the line after that
