Nationalist Chinese Hurricane IIC based in Southern China mid 1944.

This is an ex Indian AF 1 Sqd machine which after that unit re-equiped with Hawker Tempests was refurbished and sent to the Nationalist Chinese under Lend Lease agreements. These aircraft served alongside P-40's and helped protect the Northern end of the supply chain from India over the Hump.

Airfix 1/72 kit again. Standard RAF camoflage for the theatre and period. This is before the aircraft went brown/green on the uppers and before the white ID bands came into use.

Paints mainly Xtracrylic. National markings are from a SKY P-40 sheet as is the tail number.

Another nice one Chris.  I'd considered something similar for a Hurricane IIa of the AAVG (Anglo-American Volunteer Group) operating over northern Burma in early 1942.  Temperate Land Scheme with Sky undersides was how I saw that heading.  And probably a sharkmouth too.

That looks brilliant Chris...

Yup, I can't weather to save my life (although I'm trying some on my current Me 109) I always say the aircraft have just been cleaned for some High Up's inspection visit

Oh, I like that one, Chris.  Very nice.  Always liked the ROC roundel.  Don't see enough of them, really.

Yup it's a nice roundel. The P-26 I picked up yesterday has the one with the red outer ring. Looks even nicer
