Again thank you for the comments guys. 

I recall reading that, during the Korean War, one (or more?) F-86's was painted green/OD and managed to lose @ 30 MPH.  That said, I really don't care!  This is one great looking bird!

bobbo,  from what I understand the green/OD was a coating used when they shipped F-86's to Korea on carrier flight decks. I may be wrong?

As I understood it, one or more were painted a "Camo" at one point.  I sort of recall it was an attempt for ground attack birds, but it was unsuccessful.  I think there was a photo in Squadron's Air War in Korea.   

I'm going away this weekend, but I will try to find more information when I get home again.  I hope.

The only other green/OD Sabres I know of were with the Malaysian AF.
