Memphis Belle

I had a great surprise this morning, the Memphis Belle came over my house at about 500-700 feet on her way into Meadows Field (KBFL). She's in town for the weekend and flying tours around the area. Wish I had $450 US for a ride

As I'm streaming the tower I might get lucky and have time to grab my camera the time she's on this side of town.

I took the ground tour in a B-17 with my son several years ago. I could not believe grown men went to war in these cramped machines. I could barely move around wearing shorts and a t shirt. Of course I saw the cockpit of a B-1 and it was no bigger.
