The AEW Merlin (early Crowsnest concept with Watchkeeper out the stern of HC4 Merlin rather than bolted onthe side of the Merlin HMA-2

Avro 768 II just in need of some touch up work and the rest of the details finishing, decals are on order and should arrive later this week.



Created from an Airfix Fokker F-27 Friendship somehow !!!

In the background you can see a Cyberhobby Sea Vixen FAW1 (not a bad kit if you replace the nose and underscale seats another stock Airfix Buccaneer to replace one of the ones that got damaged last year and finally a bit of progress on the Supermarine 583



On the shelf is an AEW Orion that will follow the Andover IF i can get it completed !

Are you wanting "Dougal" for the display?  I don't have time (or the inclination, for that matter) to get the other AEW Lancastrian painted and only intend bringing about 5 boxes down this year (3 Tyneside, 1 What If SIG plus A N Other).

That's amazing use of an F-27 Thorvic, never in a million years would I have thought of such a radical change.  But if I see one going cheap at Telford.....

Mind you, if I see a cheap FROGspawn Herald I'll be tempted to get one to convert into an HP.124.

S&M Models are actually doing a HS-748 in 1/72nd for SMW, but of course too late for the build

Maquette repopped it about ten years back, so they should be kicking about.
