To update it's fleet of Phantoms and Buccaneers and to supplement the Tomcat F.1 fleet, after the Falklands campaign, the Fleet Air Arm took delivery of it's first Hornet FRS.1.
All aircraft were 2 seaters, in line with Navy preferences.

The kit was the Italeri F-18 prototype, so i had to fill in the Lerxs and remove the wings dogtooth.  To the interior I added to Airwaves cockpit set and some Mk10 seats...Pavla I think.

I'll imagine that when the Super Bug becomes available, the RN will get those, too.

Nice build and logical idea based on the prefix of the RN retaining Conventional Carrier capability

Lovely. The black radome looks odd, but it's an original idea and a nice contrast. Cool.

Follows the Sea harrier Scheme of the period with the overall Dark Sea Grey and Black Radome, it was the FA2 that switched to the Grey Radome.
