It's not a What If as I found a pic of the tail with the mounted test engine, but not the whole aircraft.  I painted over a messed up 110 off of ebay, getting finished models helps get me through my back-log of projects.  I do quick builds because there are a great many to go.

nice build - and the germans did use similar aeroplanes as test beds

bailing out in case of DB engine failure becomes a challenge
