fair play to the them.

Making use of a very convenient source of water.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

In California the fire services can legally use any body of water to fight fires, that means your pool is fair game in a wildfire. My sister and brother in-law have property in the Tehachapi mountains near where I live, they make sure that there is water in the holding tank on the ranch for the bambi buckets, the firefighters have keys to the property and have a refurbished barn set aside for those guys to get some rest and shelter from the heat. Needless to say you know what ranch is very well protected.

Looks like the fire was barely a few hundred metres away.  :o Don't think there was a whole lot of complaining.  ;D
Cheers,

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?
