This programme looks at events from recent history from the point of view of those who were there and involved.

With events in Syria occupying much of the news media right now, an interview with the US Navy airman who was
shot down over Syrian positions in Lebanon in 1983, Lt. Robert Goodman and taken to Damascas, and with the
Reverend Jesse Jackson who went to plead his case for release with President Hafez al-Assad is timely and very
interesting.

It hasn't been made available on the BBC i-player yet and i don't think it will be available until early next week.

Well worth a listen when it is.
