It's Steampunk and Victorian SF month on TFH, so I've just started to build the first fo a series (hopefully) of scratch built landships. This one is for the british army; HMLS Jack Russell, a Terrier class light landship built by the great landship yards of Crumhorn and Smedley to the designs of Sir Hercules Harrumph, engineer, adventurer, hero of the Perfidious Punjabi Plot, the Heinous Hindu Heist and the Dreadfully Dire Doings in Delhi, and ancestor of Sir Horrace Harrumph, designer of the ill fated Harrumph Dreadnaught of WW2.
The Terrier class is the smallest in operation with the British army, powered by a single boiler, and armed with a turret mounted cannon in the front. Full step-by-step information will be posted to The Honourable East Indian Hippo Company's blog in the fullness of time, but certain previews will be made available along the way.
