I'm a bit odd, I like most Aussies tend to litter my everyday speech with the odd piece of profanity.  Having been in the Army cemented that.  However, when faced by a serious situation, the worst word I tend to use is "damn!" and the odd "bugger!" or I just remain quiet and get on with the job, not wasting time on words which are IMHO basically meaningless.

As for which nationality panics best, Weaver, one shouldn't forget "Corporal Jones" from Dad's Army.

That's fair comment actually Logan. Personally, I find my speech adapts to those around me in all sorts of ways, not just swearing.

Bit like that myself. Had mates way, way back in the old East End who's mum's used the F word every 3/4 words, then went out with the local Vicar's daughter for a bit. Must admit the more serious the situation then the less excitable I am. Like Rickshaw if it's really serious then you can't waste your breath you have to think, something just irritating then people have sometimes thought I've got some Italian blood
