What Lee means are these one Keith.

Thanks
Sadly I don't have any Special Hobby or Ventura Spitfire/Seafires in my stash,
But now at least I know what they look like and where they fit, I shall have
A rummage in the spares box and see if I have something suitable.

Regards
Keith
The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

You can find them in the Special Hobby Spitfire Mk.24 and Seafire Mk.47 boxings.  Maybe someone can help you out if they're not using them.

EDIT:  Actually I thought there was an aftermarket item of these in 1/72, but I can't find it now --

Actually, Keith, if you've an Airfix Firefly V, nick the underwing slippers from that.  They're close enough to the ones intended for the Spiteful (again, a three view in the Morgan/Shacklady bible will help).

I used them on several Spitefuls, this being one:

Airkit/Airpart *might* have done the FR47 tanks as an add-on extra but I've never seen a comprehensive listing of the resin Spitfire bits that Paul Lucas put out.  They were certainly in his Seafire F.17 kit.

And guess what I'm now considering...  ;D  Wonder if my resin wing will fit the Rareplanes Spiteful fuselage?

Nice PR Spiteful
Thanks for the ideas about slipper tanks, but unfortunately
My stash doesn't contain an Airfix firefly to nick the slipper tanks off..... :banghead:
So after much research  :drink: :cheers: I found this;

It's from 'The Supermarine Spitfire, A comprehensive guide for the Modeller,
Part 2: Griffon-powered.
Which I think is quite good. I don't expect its any near as good as the 'Bible' but then again have you seen
The price for the Morgan/Shacklady book? Eye watering doesn't even come close.
I also have an abundance of meteor underwing tanks which look about right to me, so
That's what I'll be fitting under the centerline.

To heck with a belly tank. Use a barrel of beer or ale with a home-made streamlined nose cap taped on. Gotta keep the troops happy. Adios, Larry.

Spot on Keith

Just got myself another Chipmunk yesterday so I can do something like this too, it'll be a little bit different but not much.  I'm also going to use the Chipmunk canopy I have already on a Spiteful, but that's all the hint you'll get for the moment ---

That looks pretty darn good, and the use of the Chippie canopy is inspired!

Guess who now has a similar Chippie greenhouse?   ;D
