Never built an Avenger/Tarpon but would really love to. AM/Italeri kit is supposed to be superb. Always remember Saburo Sakai's dramatic encounter with them in his book "Samurai" and phenomenal flight back to Rabaul afterwards. Always felt that vignette of the War would make a fascinating docu-drama.

Whilst on the subject does anyone have any pics/info of 854 Sqn's TBFs.

That being said, I'd like to remind everybody in a manner reminiscent of the SNL bit on Julian Assange, that no matter how I die: It was murder (even if there was a suicide note or a video of me peacefully dying in my sleep); should I be framed for a criminal offense or disappear, you know to blame.
