FINALLY!

After nearly 3 years of searching through ebay etc. I found one of my 'holy grail' kits in hands of private colector in Poland :)
Of course I couldn't resist and after finishing Viper Mk VII I started Seaquest. The kit was simple , consisting of 16 parts only. Although not many , parts were molded very precisely. Fit was good. Painting and wash was done with Vallejo paints. Hope you'll like it :)

I think I've seen one of those swimming in the local lake........  ;D

That's from a TV series as I recall, isn't it?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

Right, "Seaquest DSV" series on the air 1993-1996, cancelled due to poor ratings.

Good build of a very cool ship!

Good TV show that went head to head with some really big shows at the time. B5 and two Star Trek series and some dodgy stories towards the end, it never really stood a chance.

That applies to most of the Sci-fi shows as the writers tend to haveone good series worth of ideas, and the studios drag it out with reduced budgets so things tend to be played down rather than build up, or you have Enterprise where the studio didn't like figures from the first series and put a pointless quest into it then after they fluffed that they gave em  half a series to do all the good plots they had lined up for the next couple of series  :banghead:.

Yeap i liked Seaquest even if it was a rehash of the Seaview
Project Cancelled SIG Secretary, specialising in post war British RN warships, RN and RAF aircraft projects. Also USN and Russian warships

Devilfish

I think the problem was there wasn't enough action, so in the last series, it had more "fight" scenes.  Suddenly this underwater research lab became a warship.  To quote Captain Picard "Remember when we were explorers?"

Ifor

If I'm right the brother of the GM(Genetically Modified) bloke with the body markings went on to play Sipowicz's son in NYPD Blue. The GM bloke also went to another programme which escapes me. Kowalski was always a favourite in Seaview.

General Melchet

Looks good....there was one of these knocking around in the kit-swop at Telford this year, nearly picked it up for £25.  Length of the queue put me off though.
Clearly, Field Marshal Haig is about to make yet another gargantuan effort to move his drinks cabinet six inches closer to Berlin.

Beautiful model . Shame about the TV series though. A complete clunker!! Frankly, I hated it!!
