Short trousers in January??
Gods it takes you back. eh??

Yup, at least 51 years. Shorts, knee socks and a scarf wrapped under your arms and pinned with a safety pin.

Scabbed, dirty knees and a regulation navy gabardine.

Yup, you to ?

.....come on then, tell us about rationing, etc!  ;)

The final bit of rationing did continue until after I was born. So yes I would have had a ration card for 3 years or so  No idea where it is though

"Towards the end of the last millenium"  is my sons'  reply.

I do have a friend who claims that he was too poor to be born, He says he was knitted by the WRVS

When people ask me that I reply 'Almost exactly in the middle of WWII' and I was too.

My Dad always said that after that Hitler knew he was on a loser.  ;D
