Sounds like a plan to me Lee, thanks. We'll 'enter into a negotiating posture' at Telford then?  ;D

Nothing's wrong with the Xtrakit Scimitar Robert, it's just that the Skybirds version is probably THE most exquisitely engineered plastic kit ever made. The way the parts fit together is wondrous to behold to my eyes, and a LOT of thought went into it, like most of the Skybirds kits.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

The Xtrakit Scimitar is OK, but not brilliant,as think it was done by sword rather than Special Hobby, so detail can be a bit soft and features simplified.

However as it is available as a proper injection moulded kit it might be one for Colin to look at for conversion, the side by side two seater springs to mind or even better the Supermarine Type 576 with the larger afterburner tail pipes, the humped spine and the Radar nose as it was intened to backfit Scimitar F-1s to that standard to make them decent supersonic naval fighters.

Sword copied the last tooling of the CMR Scimitar - it had errors in it and they carried through into the Xtrakit one.  There's also some moulded in mould damage on some examples.

CMR redid it about two years ago AFTER the Xtrakit one came out.  I've a suspicion MPM or Special Hobby may well follow suit, although given Dragon's current penchant for 50s FAA jets, they may do it instead.

I'm easy.  Something I can use for The Plan, preferably Airkit Spitfires/Seafires.

I may have something like that in my big box of 92 Spitfire kits...........  ;D

Hoping to have samples of the AEW Bucc bits tomorrow, will post up some pictures asap, then they go in the post to Mike McEvoy to work his magic for SMW....

I've started loading the High Planes stuff on my website, more on its way from Singapore hopefully in time for the show.
