P-47 in RAF service

I have lots of P-47 kits.

Some will be RAF, so bare in mind, the following:

Thunderbolt I = P-47D Razorback
Thunderbolt II = P-47D Bubble Canopy
Thunderbolt III (F.3) = P-47M
Thunderbolt IV (FB.4) = P-47N

As the P-47M pretty much looks like a P-47D, major visual clues being engine crankcase front/mags,
and extended fin fillet on some, what're you planning on for visual oomph?

Could defiantly do a plethora of late war and especially post-war RCAF birds, in place of all the P-51 units. Lots of decals out there. Leading Edge do a couple of gorgeous sheets for them.

Would also look good as Aleutian protectors in NMF, with some mixed up cowl markings as seen on RCAF Kittyhawks at the time.

I've done a couple of my Thunderbolts in RAF colours, the black one I have since learnt the silver should be Roundel Red. The silver were decals which came from a Carpena sheet.
The green/brown one I think is of an RCAF squadron in RAF service, there's some photos in the book "The RCAF at War-1939-45" of P-47's with these squadron codes.  In the P-47 in Action book, it sort of suggests that these Far East P-47's used RAF style rocket rails (although I've not found any photo to confirm that), but I put five under each wing anyway and both models have the Hamilton Standard prop --

They're just about the right size for me Robert....big but no so much that I have to scroll to see them...so otherwise, perfect ! And nice work btw. I like the first one better.

Thanks Todd, I should mention they're both RW schemes except for the colour error.  The black one was the base commander' or chief instructor'  (can't remember which) personal mount at a OTU in Egypt (or somewhere around there), the green/brown one operated out of India and then through Burma.  They replaced Hurricanes that the squadron used up to then.

Done a couple of P-47's including RAF Italy and RAAF one. One of my next projects (the box is out and on the bench) is an XP-72 which will be in service based on Iwo Jima for escorting all those B-29's & B-32's over Japan. Going to use P-47N squadron markings
