Despite working six days a week this month, I found some time on my one day off to have some fun.

Cor, wow and other expletives!  :o

I like the positioning of some of the engine gauges on the inboard face of the mounting struts, very inventive.

Very cool ! You are a lucky man.....

I never noticed the gauges in the strut, and the 'jet pod' look of the engine fit....neat stuff ! Thanks for all the great pics.

Absolutely gorgeous, and your pictures do it justice! Is that the same one that was in scheduled commercial service into the 80s? There used to be one flying out of Sandusky Ohio to the Bass Islands in Lake Erie, and occasionally to Pelee Island. Never got around to making that trip.

My only disappointment was they never produced Mercury or Lincoln Tri-Motors.

Just thank goodness they didn't produce an EDSEL Tri-Motor! Can you imagine how that would look?  ;D

I imagine that there would be a fair  chance some of them would look  crumpled, fragmented and even scattered across   the  landscape.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone!  It is a beautiful restoration and I'm fortunate that I live in Florida, because they wanted to keep the aircraft somewhere warm for the winter.

This particular aircraft's history can be found here:

As for the gauges, that was interesting, like the gauges on the Hs 129 or Fw 187.

With the exception of being louder, it was an altogether more enjoyable flight experience than many modern airliners I've flown on.

Cheers,

Logan

Well the Merc's would all end up closer to the ground with the tops chopped.
Nice pics.  Would the passengers have had seat belts back in the day?

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Very nice Logan.

I am hoping to get a flight in a F4U-5 sometime this year.  Will see if it pans out but would love to go up in a Trimotor.
